When you think of a postcard or a diary, what comes to mind? You probably imagine the finished object, ready to be used or given as a gift. But, between the initial idea and the final product, there is a magic that happens in the world of graphics. Today I'll take you behind the scenes to discover how our products are born and how much work there is behind every detail you see in our shop. Are you ready for the journey?

Inspiration: From Idea to First Draft

It all starts with an idea. Sometimes an illustration I see in a book, a word I hear in a song, or simply a chat with a friend makes me think of something special. Creativity is a bit like a flame that can ignite at any moment! Once I have an idea in my head, I start making sketches on paper (yes, paper is always my traveling companion). A quick sketch, a few markers and a bit of color, just to see if it can work.

Then comes the time to go digital. If you are not familiar with the world of graphics software, I assure you that it is my "playground". This is where the real work begins! I pass the sketches to the computer, starting to build the structure and layout of the product. The most exciting part is seeing how from a vague idea something concrete can take shape.

The software: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator – the magic of the programs

This is where my faithful friends come in: Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Each program has its own specific role and together they are the perfect team to create our products.

• Photoshop is my ally when I have to work on images and photographs. I use it especially to photograph our fantastic products and show them to you on the website and social media!
• Illustrator is perfect when it comes to creating vector illustrations. The clean lines and geometric shapes you see in our designs come to life with this program.
• InDesign is what I use for the final layout: positioning all the elements, deciding the size, putting the texts and making sure everything is harmonious and ready to be printed. It is the program that makes me feel really in control!

Each software has its own peculiarities and requires a bit of patience, but it is also a creative journey that excites me more and more. Every detail, from the chosen fonts to the color shades, contributes to giving that special touch to the product.

The fun part: experimenting and adding personality

Once the design is set, the fun begins! It’s time to add that personal touch that makes each of our products unique. The most fun part of the process is trying new things. I like to add little hidden details that buyers can only discover by looking carefully… those little surprises are what make a product truly special.

Whether it’s a small graphic sign hidden in the margin of a diary page or a personalized decoration on a postcard, each of our products has that something extra that makes it unique and special. Experimenting makes me feel free and allows me to continue to evolve as a creative.

The final touch: printing and quality control

When the design is finally ready, it's time to move on to printing. Here another fundamental aspect comes into play: quality. It's not enough to have a good design if the final product isn't equally refined. So, not only do I choose the best materials, but I also supervise every phase of printing to make sure everything is perfect. Every single product that reaches your hands must live up to expectations and I leave nothing to chance.

After printing, there is another fundamental step: quality control. Every single item is carefully inspected, because every product I sell must reflect my commitment, my passion and the quality I promise.
